Good point Fred, not only do we have to contend with the cyclists already road hogging but now theyRead More will be drunk.
Chris June 18, 2013 at 11:14 am
You have to give a cyclist three feet not six inches. It is a bigger problem when the riders don'tRead More follow the law regarding stopping at lights & stop signs, riding single file, not using hand signals, etc. However the driver overtaking a cyclist is still responsible for passing safely, heaven forbid a driver actually has to hit the brakes. Try riding a bicycle on the road with all the distracted drivers, if you are brave enough.
Paul Bahre June 18, 2013 at 03:44 pm
Chris I meant 6' but you are right it's 3' not 6". But our roads are still very narrow. AsRead More for distracted drivers I deal with them every day as a guy who rides motorcycles.

Steve I hope this gets to you in time. Don't go on that egg hunt! Apparently you have never seen anRead More Easter egg hunt before. After the egg hunt starting cannon roars, hundreds of undisciplined kids and hooligans rush the field grabbing for everything they can find. Heaven forbid you find and pick up an egg, they will be all over you. You'll be lucky to keep your shoes. Suggest that you and Peaches clutch your valuables and head for the exits ASAP. And by the way do you realize that your magic hat is changing color. Is it due to a natural phenomenon? No one could own that many hats.

That's exactly right. Each year, we play mostly outdoor summer concerts, including Canton, NewRead More Hartford, Torrington, and Windsor (pictured above).

Oh, he is adorable! And worth the carbon footprint. Your book looks really interesting, too, and IRead More am sure Bailey is a huge help.
LB January 11, 2013 at 04:17 pm
Life is what you make of it, I don't think anyone should let any one thing define them. We are moreRead More than that. I'm glad you found painting to ease your mind and soothe your soul. Personally I'm a novelist, books for sale on Amazon/Kindle/Nook/Smashwords, all well reviewed (end shameless plug! LOL) and a secretary, a web designer, a wife, a mother, a wannabe gardener but I don't have much success there. Never be afraid to try something new! Thanks for your post, I enjoyed it.
Carrie Jacobson January 14, 2013 at 10:06 pm
Thanks, LB - What's either your name or a title of the book? Love to take a look...

Wonderful Carrie! Thanks!

My story is similar to yours Carrie. At age 65, i decided i wanted to paint. For Christmas that yearRead More my children bought me everything from Blick in Plainville. I began with acrylics because my daughter told me i am the impatient type and it would dry quicker. Two days after Christmas I had finished my first Amish painting, my son said, mom, how did you know how to do that? Just like you, I was ready. I recently had a month long art show at the Atwater Memorial Library, and it was very rewarding to hear people's comments, so positive.Best of luck. Taking on a canvas that big is a real challenge. I have a 24X36 waiting for me to start my magic, but it hasn't come yer. Bless you, and sorry for your losses, but you can lose yourself with a painbrush in your hand, this I know. Audrey
Carrie Jacobson January 8, 2013 at 01:26 pm
