Granby's Malone Wins National Prep Wrestling Title

Wrestler, a senior at Wyoming Seminary School, won his second consecutive title and will attend Northwestern University.

Senior Dominick Malone of Granby who attends Wyoming Seminary Prep school in Kingston, PA, won the National Prep Championships wrestling title at 126 pounds Saturday at Stabler Arena at Lehigh University.

In doing so, Malone also won the most outstanding wrestler award and the Ray Mendoza Award for most team points award.

"(Dom) really outwresteld everybody there," Seminary coach Scott Green told citizensvoice.com. "There are so many great and accomplished wrestlers in the tournament and he stood out among all of them."

It was Malone's second national prep title; he won the 119 pound championship last year.  

Malone is a four-time Pennsylvania Prep state champion and he will wrestle for Northwestern University in the fall.
