Both Granby and East Granby public schools will be closed Friday.
A slow-moving winter storm dropped several inches of heavy snow on Connecticut Thursday night leaving hazardous conditions as temperatures dropped below freezing.
Much of the snow will likely melt this weekend when temperatures are expected to reach the mid-40s.
