Malloy on His Budget Plan: 'No New Taxes'

I still don't believe him. Dems like him can't help but raise taxes - it is instinctive.

He better not have new taxes. He just raised taxes to an all time high.

He's going to cut tax credits again for property taxes and businesses and he will raise fees for just about everything. In addition he will cut state aid to wealthy town schools.
Two years ago I was the only speaker at the Simsbury Budget hearing to ask what we would be doing to plan for the inevitable state aid cut. I was told not to worry.

What is it about Progressive / Socialists like Governor Mao Loy who can’t tell the truth. He truly thinks that the citizens are stupid & that only he and his cronies know best [duah ... that’s the definition of a Progressive]. As we enter this budget season please recall 1) The Democrat majority in the CGA never met a tax that they didn’t love! 2) A tax that expires is one that is no longer paid by the citizens of the state. If you continue a tax that was going to expire, it has the same effect as adding a new tax. Any reasonable person realizes that if you were not going to be required to pay a tax in September & now you are, Governor Mao Loy has raised your taxes, and 3) Cutting state aid to cities & towns [not Democrat voting cities] which forces them to raise property taxes, is morally the same as Governor Mao Loy raising taxes. He says he will not raise taxes. Most citizens believe that this means that the Government will not be taking more of their hard earned wages. THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE! You will be paying more because the Democrat’s economic policy of Tax, Spend, & Redistribute is crippling our state’s economy. Their policy will cause the Government to take more of your money so they can continue to give it to Covetous Takers & State Union Employees [oops that was redundant]. Keep electing the same Hacks & they will keep picking your pockets. Consider an alternative while there are still more Skilled Makers in the state than there are Covetous Takers!

I guess all of those expiring credit don't qualify as new taxes. I think that what people mean by cooking the books. Biggest tax increase in history and we still need more to run our bloated CT government and continually expanding programs.

Tell the truth?? The old excuse...he deserves the high pay because everyone in Government gets paid that much in this are, this includes teachers too! Such a SAD excuse for the out of control wages that are in New England towns, i.e. Community Developer for Granby gets paid $150,000 plus benefits for a Town of 11,000 people, this is hideous.
Maybe the Public Servant should become a Public Servant again??

Tomorrow will tell the story Government under Governor Malloy not going well at all we still pay more taxes then ever before and the Governor wants to bond more and not pay off the bonds until 2016 paying more money each year and he adds a new State Agency and only 117 town will see state education money for the town of Simsbury Told you so but you all were to busy voting for Hampton and Witco's in two years a change may be to late and the Gov will be in Washington D.C. as head of a Federal Agency
