Have A Question About Sequestration? #AskJoe!

Second District Congressman Joe Courtney has been taking questions about sequestration this week on his Facebook and Twitter.

Who doesn't have questions about sequestration (which, by the way, takes effect Friday)? What is it, what does it do, why is it happening, what does it mean to me and my wallet?

Second District Congressman Joe Courtney, the Democrat from Vernon, has been soliciting constituent questions all week on his Facebook page and Twitter account. He is answering those questions both on Facebook and his YouTube channel.

Among the questions being asked are:

  • I'd like to know why we aren't hearing more about the ratio of cuts to tax increases.... why must we keep cutting, but the rich only had an incremental tax increase.
  • How might this impact the many children with special needs in our public schools with support services through federal dollars.
  • How will it affect CT's defense industry?
  • Why doesn't congress just repeal the Sequester law? the get down to work making decisions as to what should be cut and do it in a rational intelligent way.

If you have a question about sequestration, log onto one of the congressman's many social media outlets and ask!

So they can say they did. And keep their job. This way they get to select what is necessary for themRead More to teach with. What if they did not bring their own supplies? Look at the inner city where teachers are babysitters and mothers and fathers to those kids. Where did you get your information? Probably not from a teacher who is there to teach. Teachers choose the profession knowingly and that's their choice. Possibly with low beginning wages but with security.
