Granby Selectmen Ratify New Dispatchers', Public Works Employees' Agreement

Contract calls for a 10.25 percent wage increase over a 4-year period.

In a meeting with a light agenda, the Granby Board of Selectmen on Monday evening voted unanimously to ratify a new 4-year collective bargaining agreement with the public works employees’ and and dispatchers’ union.

The agreement calls for a 10.25 percent wage increase over the four-year period, with annual increases of 2.5 percent in 2012-13, 2.5 percent in 2013-14, 2.75 percent in 2014-15 and 2.75 percent in 2015-16. (The first year of the agreement has already taken place, and the salary increase will be applied retroactively.)

The union also made concessions, including agreeing to increase its health care co-pay to 15 percent.
