steve, you speak of what you do not know. I have 3 kids in the system. the :vote no" is because i have been paying attention to meetings up to now and I know they are coming with increases once again. As I said VOTE NO. My kids do not need more money thrown at a situation that needs more accountability than money. For the record my wife is a teacher too, so I know the waste very well. When we do retire we will take the fat teacher retirement and go south and not pay one more cent of tax in this god forsaken state again. can't wait.

I beg your pardon, Ron. You are not the person I thought you were. I am very sorry. However, if you used your whole name the issue would not have occurred. Of coarse the budget is up. It has to be just to over cost of living increases and the increases in cost of everything good and service carried forward with NO change in performance. Have you seen the COST of ANYTHING go down this year?

@ Percy How does your comment above relate to the subject of budget? Just venting as always?

Stevie wonder what's going on. If a sample vote for making the budget a ZERO percent increease was basen upon the thumbs up on this Column it would be: Vote any increase down 19, to Increase Taxes for Rich Steve's inheritance - 1. Looks like its a vote the Budget down. Also the way the Chairman of the Board of Finance runs things outside Town business can and probably does affect the way the Town is run. Time to take raises away from Town employees that make far too much for what they do. the Community Developer does not deserve a over $150,000 salary for a Town of 11,000 people. Also the public sector needs to make more contributions to their pensions and their medical and align better with the private sector. Granby deserves no Tax increase this year with the drop in student population and the start of the elimination of textbooks .
