Original Story:

Emergency service providers searched for a Windsor woman last seen around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

The 39-year-old woman, whose name had not yet been released, was visiting the park with her husband and son. Her two family members last saw the woman before swimming in one of the park's ponds, according to Lost Acres Fire Department Chief John Horr.

The had 18 members on hand to search the entire park area, including the somewhat deep ponds and bodies of water, and did not find the woman, Horr said. Granby Ambulance Association members were also on hand to help the search and rescue effort as were Granby and Connecticut State Police.

A search by Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) police officers using a K-9 unit began around 11:30 p.m. Additional search and rescue units were en route to the staging area off of Route 219 at that same time.
