State Police Stats From Christmas Enforcement

Connecticut State Police issued more than 600 hazardous moving violations, among other tickets. Here's the complete rundown.

Three hundred and one speeding tickets, 18 DUIs and a partridge in a pear tree.

"The Twelve Days of Christmas" song would go something like that if you were using stats from the holiday weekend enforcement campaign by Connecticut State Police.

The campaign, which brings an increased patrol presence on the state's roadways in an effort to keep Connecticut's motorists safe, will continue through Jan. 1, 2014. So far, from midnight on Dec. 23 to noon on Dec. 26, Connecticut State Police have reported the following results:

  • Speeding: 301
  • Seatbelt Violations: 4
  • Hazardous Moving Violations (including unsafe lane changes, cell phone use, etc.): 601
  • DUIs: 18  
  • Accidents Investigated: 249
  • Accidents with Injury: 28
  • Fatal Accidents: 0
