Police Release Names of Drivers in Salmon Brook Street Accident

The accident is still under investigation.

Granby police have released the identities of the two drivers involved in an accident that took place on Salmon Brook Street Monday evening that resulted in a car striking a house and shutting down the road for an hour.

Police say that Simsbury resident Christina Liebe, age 37, was driving northbound on Salmon Brook Street near Granby town center in a 2008 Ford van that was struck from the rear by a 2001 Mitsubishi sedan operated by Judyann Yost, 68, of East Granby.

After striking the van, the vehicle driven by Yost crossed the southbound lane, left the roadway and struck a house at 251 Salmon Brook St.

According to police, the two drivers were the vehicles' only occupants. Liebe and Yost were taken by separate ambulances to local hospitals with what police say were "non-life threatening injuries."

The accident, according to police, is still under investigation with no charges yet filed.
