Granby Police believe they have found the man who led them on a chase through town in January after an armed robbery in Southwick, MA.
Lucas Mayette, 32, of 57 W. Route 55, Sherman, was arrested in New Milford on Wednesday night, Capt. William Tyler of the Granby Police Department said on Thursday.
Tyler said a joint investigation by Granby and Southwick police indicated that Mayette was the one driving the car that "engaged a Granby officer in pursuit after the report of an armed robbery in Southwick."
Granby police sought an arrest warrant on charges of interfering with an officer, engaging police in pursuit and reckless driving.
Southwick police said the suspect was armed with a gun and broke a gas station clerk's nose with it during the robbery.
Mayette was arrested without incident and transferred to Granby Police headquarters, Tyler said. He is being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court on Thursday.
