Five out of Six Granby Establishments Pass Alcohol Compliance Check

Granby Package, 496 Salmon Brook Street, was the only retail location in violation of the recent check.

Granby Package was the only licensed alcohol seller in violation of a recent alcohol compliance check, according to information from Capt. William Tyler, executive officer at the Granby Police Department.

On Saturday, June 28, the Granby Police Department, with agents of the State Liquor Control Division, checked all six licensed retail alcohol establishments in Granby.

A 17 year old, with permission from parents and supervised by law enforcement, went to the six alcohol retailers and tried to buy alcohol. The teenager gave her real identification, if asked.

Granby Package, a liquor store on 496 Salmon Brook St., was the only establishment in violation during the check, and it will be referred to the Liquor Control Commission for further action.
