The occupants of the home, Peter and Joan Avery, were inside at the time and were getting ready for bed when they heard "a loud bang and the house shook," according to the couple's daughter, Tammy Meyers.

Meyers said that some of the siding to the house and its foundation were damaged, but that the interior to the home was not.

Southbound traffic around Salmon Brook Street was being diverted onto Hartford Avenue, while northbound traffic was seen turning around. Salmon Brook Street has now re-opened, according to Granby police.
