There were some big surprises for college basketball fans on "Selection Sunday" as the NCAA announced the 64 teams that had made it into this year's tournament.
Most notably, fans of these tourney perennials — Kentucky, Virginia, Maryland, Iowa, Southern Miss., Alabama, Tennessee — were nowhere to be found.
