So what we want children to eat raw fish now? I personally don't eat fish. I had a bad tuna sandwich when I was 5 years old and now I can't sneak up on any fish that smells fishing without getting sick to my stomach. Now I do eat shell fish and light fish like flounder, pollock and the like. No Tuna, trout, salmon, any smelly oily fish. As for getting children to eat sushi? Why? I don't think eating that stuff is good for anyone. The Ocean's are full of heavy metals and not just because of all man's pollution but because the whole earth empty's into the ocean and those fish live in that sediment. When I was a kid I used to eat fresh raw hamberger, I would never do that today with what meat goes through in modern processing plants. Same with fish. That being said my daughter loves sushi, and she is the pickiest eater I have even known. She had some sushi 2 days ago and she promptly got sick about an hour later and emptied her guts out for it. Yea we should feed sushi to our little children... I think not !!!
