Community Corner

3rd Annual East Granby Holiday Tree Lighting & Carol Sing

Building Community Bridges and the East Granby Chamber of Commerce invite you to the Third Annual Tree Lighting and Community Carol Sing on Friday, November 23rd.

For the third time, the large evergreen tree near the First National Bank of Suffield at the Center Shops in East Granby will be aglow with a multi-color display.

East Granby Junior Girl Scouts will turn on the lights at 6:30PM, to be followed by a community carol sing led by music instructor and guitarist Sandra Vick. After the festivities, the community is invited to participate in a “torchlight” parade to the Senior/Community Center for hot cocoa and goodies.

This community-centered event is completely free of charge, and participation by families, individuals, and organizations is encouraged. All you need to do is be there, dress warmly, and sing along.  Bring your children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Bring a flashlight for the parade, and plan to help out those in need this holiday season by bringing a non-perishable food item for East Granby’s Friend to Friend Food Pantry.  Collection bins will be available at the Senior/Community Center.
