Who doesn't love a farmers market? It's a great place to find local produce and products while getting outside in the nice weather, and it supports local farms and businesses.

Here are the nominees:

I'd like to nominate East Granby Farmers Market. It's a Connecticut Grown market, now in its second year, featuring a wide variety of locally grown and made products, with weekly entertainment and special events. Conveniently located at the Center Shops in East Granby, at the junction of Route 20 and 187, the market has plenty of parking, friendly and knowledgeable local vendors, and a fun atmosphere for kids through senior citizens. And even better - vendor fees benefit the East Granby Public Library. Full disclosure: I'm on the organizing committee - check out our Market on Wednesdays from 3:30-6:30.

Collinsville Farmers Market, Sundays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with live music and wonderful vendors!
