A nor'easter developing along the mid-Atlantic is forecast to hit our area Wednesday morning, but exactly how bad it will be is still up in the air.
With the storm expected to intensify as it slowly tracks east, the National Weather Service today issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Northern Connecticut.
"Heavy snow may impact parts of Southern New England," the weather service said. "However, uncertainty remains high on snowfall amounts and location of rain-snow line. Snowfall may be heavy and wet, possibly resulting in power outages."

According to the National Weather Service seven-day forecast, there will be a chance of rain and snow Wednesday through Friday, and strong gusts of winds during that time.
Light snow may start before 10 a.m. on Wednesday before giving way to rain during the day, according to the forecast. Snow is expected to hit again Wednesday night after 7 p.m.
On Thursday, the chance of rain and snow continues, with minimal accumulation expected at this point, the National Weather Service reports, though that forecast could change as the storm's path becomes more clear.
Looking ahead to the weekend, things appear to clear up just in time for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
