Coffee, Dominos, And Community Dinners

Monday April 18, 2011

Today is Monday April 18, 2011 and there are 255 days left in the year.  The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for our area as scattered rain storms continue to make their way across the northeast.  Increasing clouds today could bring more  showers this evening.  The temperature will reach a high of 59 degrees.

Attention Granby Seniors, it's Monday morning and time to get your week started the right way.  Stop on by the Granby Senior Center and Youth Services building this morning and take part in some of the great activities they have to offer.  This morning, start with a relaxing cup of coffee and some great conversation at 9 a.m.  Then, stick around for a stimulating game of dominos at 10 a.m.   Make sure to check the Senior Center calendar for more great weekly activities.

There are only two days left to get over to Meadowbrook of Granby for the Easter Basket Silent Auction to benefit the Waste Not Want Not Community Dinners at South Congregational Church.  The community is invited to visit MeadowBrook and bid on the wonderful Easter Baskets that local businesses have donated.  Baskets are on display and available for bids starting on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 until Wednesday, April  20, 2011 from 10am to 8pm.   Winners will be announced on Thursday, April 21, 2011 just in time for Easter.
