Business Financing, Spring Sports, And Patch

Today is Wednesday April 6, 2011 and there are 270 days left in the year.  We should see some slightly warmer temperatures today with a high of 53 degrees.  Cloud cover will increase this afternoon bringing the potential for overnight rain and snow.  Little or no accumulation is expected.  Thursday will bring back some sunshine and a high of 54 degrees.

The Granby Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a spring education series for business owners and anyone who wants to learn.  Join the Granby Chamber on Wednesday April 6th at Edward Jones Investments for a "Business Financing" seminar from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Guest Speakers Tony Roncaioli from Windsor Federal Savings and Mike Alberts from Simsbury Bank will share their insights.  Lunch and refreshments will be provided.  Seating is limited, please RSVP by email gcoc@granbycoc.org or phone (860) 653-5085.

It's spring sports season.  Today the Granby High School varsity softball team will play East Windsor at 3:45 p.m. at Granby Memorial High School.  The boys and girls track teams will meet against Somers at 3:45 p.m. at Granby Memorial High School as well.

In East Granby, the varsity baseball team will take on Suffield at East Granby High School.  The game starts at 3:45 p.m.
