Increasing Needs Drive Change

Over the past five years, FOCUS has grown considerably to meet the growing demand for services for children on the Autism Spectrum. An increasing awareness of Autism, the importance of early intervention and therapies that improve social and learning skills are integral factors in our mission and purpose. Unfortunately, our communication technology is stretched beyond our ability to communicate effectively with our clients, our families, our donors and other major stakeholders. The upgrades we are acquiring through the grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving will solve many of these problems.

FOCUS Center for Autism is a grassroots, community-based nonprofit whose mission is helping children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders achieve their full potential. Since becoming a nonprofit in 2000, FOCUS has developed into a well respected community-based model of treatment that has now served over 600 children and families.
