Peppermill Country Deli and Bakery an Instant Hit

Business opened in Granby earlier this month.

Since opening at the beginning of March, Peppermill Country Deli and Bakery has been a hit.

During a recent visit, more than a dozen curious customers came through the doors of the Salmon Brook Street eatery.

"We've had a phenomenal response," said owner Jennifer Girard.

Peppermill offers fresh baked goods, coffee, small gifts and many soups, salads, sandwiches and more. Its mac and cheese, available in a cup or in a sandwich, has been a hit. Bread will be available on weekends.

Currently the business is open Thursday through Sunday but when it warms up, it plans to open six days a week, remaining closed on Mondays.

Hours are being fine tuned but as of now are

  • Thursday, Friday: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition to more hours, Spring will bring more changes such as outdoor benches and bike racks for trail users.
