Each week for the past four years, creative adults have participated in the Free Lunch Studios Monday Night Jam at 6 p.m., an open creative session working on any number of projects and networking with other artists.

Free Lunch Studios co-owner and cartoonist Matt Ryan is happy to announce the Monday Night Kids Jam, beginning on November 4th, and running weekly. This one hour, drop in, creative jam will meet from 5:00 to 6:00pm on Monday afternoons for only $5.

This will be a place for kids, ages 7 to 13, to be challenged with one hour art exercises assigned by Matt or to be able to work on their own creative projects. Free Lunch Studios has a wealth of art supplies, so the attendees are not required to bring materials unless they wish to.

"This is a little less structured than our normal offering of art classes, so they are less intimidating for the beginner, and allow kids to try things artistically they might not normally feel free to do in a formal course," said Ryan.

The jam is designed to introduce participants to new materials, skills, and methods of working in all kinds of media. There is no registration required for the weekly sessions.
