Summer Family Reading Clubs

The Friends of Cossitt Library reading clubs begin June 16 - no meetings, just great books.  Introducing a child to books at an early age may set a lifetime pattern.  Toddlers/pre-readers and parents/caregivers will join a favorite friend in the Curious George Read-To-Me Club and watch their own George fly away through the summer.  A lawn picnic and movies top off the fun.  No one is too young to join.

Grades 1 - 6 students can wing their way to the great horned owl whooo invites them to Soar With Books, including 200 terrific State Library books plus Cossitt’s great collection.  Meet a real owl at a program in August, then wrap up with raffle prizes and a make-your-own-sundae party.  Children finishing kindergarten may join either club.

Teens and adults, slow down, put your feet up, grab a cool drink and enjoy some good reading in the Relax ‘N Read Club.  The make-your-own-sundae party and six winners of Barnes & Noble gift certificates top off this club.
