Tina's Ice Cream Plans 'Joy of Giving' Event for Dec. 9

Free pints will be given away in exchange for donations.

Tina Shaw of Tina's Ice Cream will be hosting a charity event at her shop on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The ice cream shop will be giving away free pints — not scoops, but pints! — of ice cream in exchange for donations to the Granby Food Bank and Farmington Valley VNA.

Suggested donations include toilet paper, juice, canned meat (not tuna), laundry detergent and pet food. Money will also be accepted to buy supermarket gift cards.

Mama Bear Foot — Barefoot Books is also sponsoring the event.
